I have been using the Samsung ML-1665 laser printer for a few weeks. It is excellent as a personal laser printer- compact, fast, quiet, and easy to set up. Recommended.

i was looking for a laser printer due to being at uni and having to print masses of paper - having an inkjet was just not cutting it and was quite messy when printing big docs (what with the ink smudging and stuff). so, after reading some not brilliant reviews on some samsung printers in the summer i decided to have another look. then i saw this one. the reviews were good so i decided to go for it. and am i glad i did!! it is an immense printer. i need it to print out articles and essays. it does that with no problem. it was so easy to set up, plug in the cables, run the software, wait for it to copy and install files and bang - done!! it took about 5 mins. and no problems with changing settings or any other nonesense. it just worked. it was so easy to figure out how to print pdfs 2 pages to one side - still cant figure out how to do that on the uni printers and still be able to read it. but this did it no problem - so it will be saving me loads compared with using the uni printers - am so pleased with it. and it will be very useful when i am sending out cvs etc. it prints very quickly - it is a little bit noisy but that makes no odds to me. am so glad i bought this printer - it is fab!!

I needed to replace a 20yr old HP Laserjet 4 as the poor old thing was rather worn out,
and the 15yr old toner cartridge was now empty.
I needed a toner based system, because I will probably use this machine very little,
and any other form of ink would dry out on me at my level of usage.
This machine is pretty small, quiet and just gets on with the job.
Great footprint and heightprint - can easily go on a shelf with a shelf above it.
Weighs a lot more than you would expect - at over 4kg.
The price has been achieved by ignoring any flashy displays, lights or paper trays.
The paper loader itself can handle 150 pages, and the output tray 100 pages (which could be very interesting).

Good if you want: Low price, long lifetime consumables, excellent print in mono, small footprint, fast, simple to setup.
Bad if you want: Color, something that looks cool, massive paper tray, scanner and extras like that built in.

Summary:

Doesn't appear to be built like a cheap piece of whatever.
Fast, high quality and very quiet.
Great for low-usage where you don't want the ink to dry out way before its time.

P.s. Cartridge lasts for 700 pages, replacements for double that. But look around to get the best price.
Cartridge is of course removable so you can give it a gentle shake over the years to keep it going :-)

The picture doesn't do this item justice.
It takes up very little storage space - the packaging hardly adds to the total size and you can fit four cartridges (all high yield) in the space I used to be able to fit a single colour cartridge from many other manufacturers.
Fitting is easy. My printer Lexmark C543dn Duplex Network Colour Laser Printer is in a pretty tight space so it is really useful that i don't have to open the side or anything requiring a lot of space (need about 10cm at the right hand side of the printer). The cartridges seem to go in OK.
They do seem expensive, but they last and last. And I haven't found anything cheaper - yet!

Replacement cartridge for our C540n Lexmark Colour Laser Prinbter arrived promptly and in first class condition. Replacement cartridges tend to be overpriced for what they are but the Lexmark produces top quality prints which softens the cost impact.

How excited can you get about Toner? It came, it worked!
Delivery was quick. The one I received was clearly the original manufacturer made version.

il disegno della lampada è interessante, il meccanismo delle molle e delle frizioni è un po' superato ma qualcuno può trovarci del fascino. Purtroppo l'interruttore è di una plastica molto scadente e non hai una bella sensazione quando accendi o spegni la lampada. sembra di prendere in mano i prodotti cinesi di qualche anno fa.
la lampadina in dotazione è morta 2 giorni dopo l'installazione.

Get this Original range if you want the switch positioned on its body, 29 Sep 2011

Thanks to one of the reviewers who pointed out the positioning of the switch on Anglepoise lamps. The Original 1227 range has the switch at the top of the shade, and Type 75 has the switch on its lead. I wanted it on the structure so have bought this one in red. Excellent quality and to my purprise, it has very elegant look. The colour red is very nice and cheerful! What makes Anglepoise lamps different from other brands is their short section with springs just above the base. I'm sure that's the secret for them to be able to get the right angle. Those unassuming two short springs provide good spring and are the back bone of this lamp. The base is heavy enough so that there is no danger of it falling over.

Just one thing to note is that it doesn't come fully assembled. In the box I found a small bag of two springs, a couple of screws and washers. There was no instruction or photograph included so I had to check the photo on Amazon website to see what they were for and where they supposed to go. As it turned out, the springs were for the lower section as I mentioned earlier, and I presume those screws are spares because I can't see missing screws anywhere. I have asked Amazon about them but they couldn't help me and said that they wouldn't know how manufacturers pack their products. So if you are giving this lamp as a present to someone, you'd better tell them to place the springs at the lower section before use. All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase. Finally I can have desent light over my desk. Highly recommended!

Delivered the 2nd day after ordering.
Working fine, came with full cartridges. Print quality is amazing. BUT BE CAREFULL. It is written in the product description

But the cable wasn't in the box. After reading other offers and the HP website, I realised that every printer comes without a cable so this products description should be corrected. The cable shouldn't be a problem though because it costs 0.82£ with free delivery so be sure to order it with the printer.
